Texas
Twelve selling months, the longest delivery runs in the country, permit rules that change every time you cross a city line, and a coast with its own windstorm rulebook.
ShedPro builds the online sales tools shed businesses use to sell buildings without waiting for somebody to drive past the lot. A 3D configurator, a website built to turn visitors into quote requests, online inventory, Google Ads run by an official Google Partner, and an operations hub that takes an order from sold to built.
All of it is delivered online, so where your shop sits doesn’t limit what we can set up for you. What does change by state is the job you’re using it for.
Buying a shed rather than selling them? Find a builder near you.
A shed business in Ohio and a shed business in Florida are running the same trade with the same buildings, and almost none of the rest of it lines up.
Ohio’s phone goes quiet in January and comes back in March. Florida’s never stops. That single difference changes when you should be spending ad money, when you should be building 3D models, and what a slow month means. In Ohio a slow February is the calendar. In Florida a slow February is a lead problem, and it needs a different response.
Then there’s how far your buildings travel. In West Texas or upstate New York, a real chunk of your customers live an hour and a half out and are never going to drive to the lot to look at buildings.
They’re deciding from the kitchen table on a phone, and what they see on that screen is your entire sales floor. In a tight metro like Atlanta or Philadelphia, the drive is short and the fight is different: there are six other shed businesses in the same search results, and the one that looks the most legitimate online gets the call.
The rules are the third piece.
Permits and setbacks for a detached storage building are set city by city and county by county, not by the state, and the thresholds are not close to each other. Add wind requirements on the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, snow and frost depth up north, and your product pages have to answer questions in Florida that nobody in Idaho has ever asked you.
None of that is a software problem on its own. It becomes one when the only way a customer can get a real answer is to call you during business hours. That’s the Sales Lot Ceiling: your growth is capped by how many people can physically get to your lot and how many of them your salesperson can talk to in a day.
Pick your state below. Each page covers the operating reality there, what your website has to handle because of it, and where to start.
3D Configurator. Your customer builds their exact building online, sees it in realistic 3D, and sends you a quote request with every option already picked. Custom 3D models of your styles get built in weeks, not months.
Sales-focused website. A site built for shed businesses, not a generic template with a shed photo on it. Built to move somebody from looking at buildings to asking for a quote.
Online inventory. Your ready-now buildings on the site with photos, sizes, prices, and which lot they’re on, so the buyer who wants something this week can find it.
Google Ads management. ShedPro is an official Google Partner working in the shed industry, which keeps budget off the people shopping for a plastic tote shed at a big box store.
Operations Hub. Quotes, contracts, orders, inventory, and delivery in one place, so the sale doesn’t get lost between the salesperson and the shop.
You don’t have to take all of it. Start with the piece that’s costing you the most right now.
ShedPro works with shed builders and manufacturers across the United States and Canada. The ten pages above are the states we’ve written up so far, not the list of places we work. If yours isn’t there, the software is the same and so is the setup.
